As part of the Dorset Decarbonisation scheme and Salix funding, Lowe & Oliver were tasked with installing new Air Source Heat Pumps at the school. The ASHP’s were designed to take on 90% of the heating demand with the existing oil-fired boilers topping up as required. The works included, installing a new plant room, extensive pipework modification to the existing plantroom, new heating pipework throughout, upgrading all the radiators and a full Building management system. A new electrical distribution board was installed as part of the works. Work was carried out during term time and during holidays working with the school throughout the project.
