Fixed Wiring Testing
At Lowe & Oliver we offer reliable fixed wire testing to establish the safety of electrical networks in all types of building. This includes the hard wiring, distribution panels, lighting, sockets, electrical plant, appliances and air conditioning units in accordance with the 17th Edition IET regulations supported by NIC EIC and ECA standards.
What Does A Fixed Wire Test Involve?
The survey includes a series of visual and electronic tests that probe the network for faults that could pose a safety risk. These could be frayed wiring, loose connections or excess heat detected by a thermal imaging survey.
With an understanding of all current electrical safety legislation, we carry out independent inspections that indicate all areas where your network deviates from regulatory norms. Our engineers will immediately advise you of any faults that require repair and will conduct any electrical servicing that may be required. On completion of the test you will be issued with a certificate of safety, which verifies your compliance under IET Wiring Regulations.
Avoiding Unnecessary Disruption
A fixed test involves full or partial shutdown of your electrical network while connections are tested. To minimise disruption to you and your service users, our engineers will liaise closely with you to arrange a convenient time for your test. We are happy to arrange fixed wire testing outside of business hours as required.
Certified Safety Inspections
We are happy to conduct testing on any installation, whether it is our own work or that of another supplier. In-house works are inspected and approved by our testing engineers, who produce Completion Certificates for each project. We also offer portable appliance testing, in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
